Thank you for a well-written review of this movie, which I just saw. You articulated my impressions of the film well. I did enjoy the shots of the desert, the village, and interiors of the rooms. So many unexplained symbolic references in the film and dropped threads in the plot caused my attention to wander during the film and left me with little to think about when it was over.
